Under the Hood

01

Inline Sensor

Inline feed sensor continuously monitors incoming water in real time, allowing the system to automatically set optimal operating pressures based on water conditions.

02

UV-C Exposure

Before leaving the system, water passes through a UV-C exposure chamber that neutralizes bacteria and microorganisms. The UV module is NSF 55 Class B certified, providing an additional layer of protection and safety.

03

Filter

A high performance reverse osmosis membrane removes salts, contaminants, and impurities at the molecular level. Pressurized water passes through the semi permeable membrane while rejected contaminants are flushed away.

04

Pump

A custom, high efficiency pump with variable speed control ensures optimal pressure, flow rate, and performance.

05

Output Sensor

The output sensors continuously monitor the contamination level of the water once it completes the filtration process. Only when these sensors indicate that the water is filtered, will it begin to flow out of the outlet of the system.

Included Hose System

Every unit includes flexible intake and output hoses designed for fast setup in rivers, lakes, and coastal environments. Durable, lightweight, and ready for rapid deployment.

Integrated Battery

When reliable power is not available, an integrated 210 Wh battery provides dependable portable energy for the system. With support for both AC and DC charging, it can be easily recharged from a wide range of sources.

Quick Connect Bulkheads

Precision quick connect bulkheads provide secure hose connections while allowing fast installation and removal. The system can be set up in seconds and disconnected just as quickly for storage or transport.

Additional membranes can be ordered directly through the Vital Lyfe app, which provides real-time monitoring of membrane health. Replacements are quick and intuitive, taking just seconds to replace

Everything you need to know

Can Access filter salt water and other contaminated sources?

Access is designed to filter any naturally occurring water source, including saltwater. The system is designed to operate across a wide range of environmental conditions, with smart power management to adapt to the input water and use the lowest energy possible, finding the most efficient treatment pathway for the specific water source.

How Portable is Access for travel and remote environments?

Access is designed for complete mobility. It’s lighter and smaller than a carry-on suitcase, and about the size of a large shoe box. When consistent power isn’t available, it’s built in battery makes it an ideal solution for off-grid, remote environments or life on the move. It is compatible with a wide range of power sources, whether a grid connection, car, or solar, allowing for versatility in usage and recharge.

How easy is it to set up and start filtering water?

Access is designed with the user in mind. The system operates with an intuitive, straight forward three step process:
1. Input hose into water source
2. Push button
3. Hydrate
There is no training, setup, or guesswork required. The system is optimized to be used by anyone, anywhere, anytime.

What is the lifetime of Access?

Access is designed for extended daily operation. Estimated system life is approximately 6,000 hours under typical saltwater conditions. Lifetime may be longer in freshwater environments and will vary based on water quality, usage, and operating conditions.

What power sources can Access run on?

Access is compatible with both AC and DC power sources. Whether plugged into the grid, your car, or a solar battery. At around 200 watts, it consumes about as much power as a TV.
